Bruce Shelby

Bruce Shelby began his career in the telecom industry in 1984, holding various positions in sales and sales management. In 1996, Shelby joined Doug Graham in founding the company that would later be known as Continuant: Telecom Labs, Inc. (TLI).

Shelby earned a degree in History from the University of Oregon and also earned a degree in Biblical Studies from Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Oregon, where he was a member of NCU’s 1983 national championship basketball team.

For most of the last decade Shelby has been actively involved in Portland’s Upward Basketball league, a league that he founded, and one that involves as many as 800 boys and girls in a season. Shelby and his wife, Carol, have received special commendation for their volunteer work in the Upward Basketball program.  Shelby is a member of the basketball coaching staff at Horizon Christian High School.

Shelby is currently a member of the NCU Board of Trustees, the Horizon Christian Schools Advisory Team and the Upward Sports Foundation Advisory Council.
