We're in business to help tomorrow's leading companies do what they do best, by keeping their collaboration technology running perfectly in the background. In other words, we're here to keep the world's best companies continuant.
CONTINUANT /kənˈtinyo͞oənt/
(noun) a thing that retains its identity as it adapts to an ever-changing environment.
Continuant is a Managed Services Provider and Systems Integrator that offers world-class solutions for cloud collaboration, voice systems, and AV. Laser-focused on enabling transformation, we work with businesses to develop their roadmap to a collaboration solution that's perfectly suited to their business goals.
Since our inception in 1996, we’ve maintained a track record of providing an exceptionally high level of service and support. We have supported over 100 members of the Fortune 500 and clients all around the world, and have established ourselves as a leading Unified Communications and Managed Services Provider.
Doug Graham and Bruce Shelby founded Telecom Labs, Inc., a phone systems dealer serving the Pacific Northwest. In the first few years, the company rapidly scaled from 3 to 80 employees as the .com boom opened up new and growing business opportunities.
Instead of merely selling phone systems, Graham and Shelby saw an opportunity and market need for maintenance and support providers and made a massive business shift to a service provider model.
While most businesses were forging deeper partnerships with OEMs like Avaya, TLI found success by moving to a Third-Party Maintenance model, which enabled the company to provide better service at a better cost. While Graham and Shelby fought their fair share of battles for this, it set a precedent in the industry for the freedom of choice in a maintenance provider.
As Microsoft and Cisco began to emerge as the frontrunners, transforming the way the enterprise connected, TLI made another huge shift and strategically partnered with these businesses. This served as one of the most formative decisions in the company's history.
As Telecom Labs' service offering continued to broaden, the company outgrew its original name. Described by customers as consistent, helpful, and knowledgeable, they needed a name to describe that sentiment. It was decided that Continuant would be the title to carry that concept well. Coinciding with this name change was Continuant’s first acquisition, DialPro Northwest.
With the acquisition of DialPro Northwest, Continuant opened up a professional services arm of the business on top of their primary maintenance and support offering.
Partnering with the largest wholesale voice carrier in the world opened up new possibilities. With Tata, the opportunities for Continuant to support worldwide users became virtually limitless.
The acquisition of Ellis Pro Media, a world-class AV integrator, initiated a new suite of AV solutions and service offerings and served as a major turning point for the company. Connection and collaboration didn't just include voice anymore, but with this new added strength, Continuant could broaden their existing offering even further.
