One of the first employees at Continuant, Steve Peterson began his career with the company in December 1996, when he accepted the position of Field/Installation Technician. Now in his 22nd year with Continuant, Peterson works as a Senior Avaya Engineer, troubleshooting complex system integrations and keeping up with ever-evolving technologies.
Peterson, a Clover Park Technical College graduate, embodies the company’s philosophy of giving its key employees the opportunity to advance and grow within Continuant. He started by working on-premise for customers, doing small key system installations and IMAC work; this on-premise work during the first eight years of his career “led to a solid foundation” for the remote Maintenance and Managed Service that he performs today. In addition to enjoying the day-to-day challenges involved in helping customers, Peterson cites working with the other members of the Continuant team as one of the most rewarding aspects of his job.
Peterson notes that he is particularly grateful to Continuant for providing opportunities to grow and learn the latest technologies, and he especially appreciates the healthy working environment and ability to add “the right staff to the team” as reasons that he values the career opportunities he seeks, and finds, at Continuant.
