Strategic Account Manager
Matt joined Continuant in 2012, where he “learned the ropes” as part of the Inside Sales team. Less than one year later, he was promoted to the position of Account Executive, building relationships with prospective customers—leading to those prospects becoming Continuant customers.
In September 2017, Continuant tapped Matt to become one of the company’s first Strategic Account Managers, helping customers accomplish their Unified Communications (UC) goals and objectives. He holds the SIP & Cloud Advanced Sales Certification.
Matt enjoys working with customers, not only to understand their technology goals, but also to help them develop a strategic roadmap that will help them accomplish those goals. He’s passionate about learning, particularly about emerging technologies. He sees his role in helping Continuant customers understand the benefits of managed services, as well as how to apply new solutions to help them accomplish their business goals.
This Washington native—he was born in Olympia—graduated with honors from Washington State University, where he majored in Management Information Systems (MIS). Prior to joining Continuant, Matt worked at a nursery as customer service lead, where he met avid gardener and Director of Demand Generation, Pam Taylor. Seeing Matt’s talents in customer service, Pam recruited him for Continuant—and the rest is history.
Matt describes his hobbies as snowboarding, hiking, fishing, martial arts, weight training, and fitness in general.
