- Our Process
If you own a legacy system from Avaya, Nortel, Siemens or another vendor, you are likely planning to replace it at some point in the near future. We find that our clients that use legacy systems like those I just mentioned most frequently are considering moving to a UC environment from Microsoft or Cisco.
This is part 5 of a 5-part blog series on Avaya Support.
Some of our legacy maintenance clients choose a Cisco or Microsoft solution to be implemented and supported by a company other than Continuant. These clients appreciate that Continuant assists with the transition, working in cooperation with the future provider. We provide a high level of flexibility and make things easy. Past Fortune 500 Continuant clients that have migrated successfully from a legacy Avaya, Nortel or Siemens environment to Cisco or Microsoft UC have included Target (#38), Johnson & Johnson (#39), Sysco Corporation (#70), Ball Corporation (#332), Chesapeake Energy (#324), Mohawk Industries (#328), Dillard’s Inc (#380), Rockwell Automation (#450), Levi Strauss & Co. (#530), Bayer Corporation (#50 Global 500), and LyondellBasell (#250 Global 500).
More recently, some of our clients have chosen a Cisco or Microsoft solution to be implemented by a company other than Continuant, but have chosen to stay with Continuant for ongoing Day 2 support of the solution. These clients realize that Day 2 managed services is Continuant’s claim to fame, and they find it smooth and easy to keep us in place. You can read about the success that we’ve had providing Day 2 support for Univision and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
I’m excited that an increasing number of our clients are choosing Continuant for the Day 0, 1 and 2 implementation and support of their future UC solution. Our engineers and solutions architects meet with them to help design the best solution and plot the best technology roadmap. We provide Cisco and Microsoft solutions globally. Our clients trust us to move them to their new solutions. We have been supporting the client’s legacy systems, so we know the client, we know the client’s systems, and we understand how the client likes to do business. And due to our recent merger with a world-class AV solutions and support provider, we can support all of our clients’ AV and Video Collaboration needs as well. We are currently in the middle of taking one of our clients from a legacy Avaya system to a global Microsoft solution supporting 20,000 users in 30 countries, while designing an AV solution for the client.
If you have legacy systems and you’re strongly considering solutions from Microsoft or Cisco, consider Continuant. Whether you would like us to provide support for the short-term, provide ongoing Day 2 support for another vendor’s solution, or handle the entire transition, the choice is yours, and we are a great choice!
