Sustainability
More than 100 million phones end up in landfills every year.

Unfortunately, many of these phone systems are tossed out while they still have useful life remaining.
At Continuant, we are committed to helping end this wasteful practice. We make it our business to help organizations extend the useful life of their voice and data systems by offering world-class maintenance and service that’s second to none. Our customers realize significant economic benefit by extending the life of their systems. An often-overlooked additional benefit to this practice is the positive impact it makes on the environment.
At its very core, our pledge to put a stop to filling our nation’s landfills with plastic and metal is about one thing: Our belief that we can and must do our part to leave the environment in good shape for generations to come. Cell Phones for Soldiers

This year, Americans will replace an estimated 130 million cell phones. And Continuant is helping make sure that these “recycled” phones do not end up in landfills or the back of a closet somewhere. We support the non-profit group, Cell Phones for Soldiers (www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com) in their mission to recycle these phones and turn them into minutes on prepaid calling cards for U.S. active military troops.
Today, Continuant serves as an “official collector” of used cell phones—a place where the general public can drop off old phones to be sent to a facility in Michigan where they are either repaired or recycled. On average, each phone donated equals one 60-minute calling card.
We’re in the communications business and we are proud to be part of an effort that helps our troops stay in touch with home.
